Motor homes are a fun, comfortable, and convenient way to vacation, whether you are planning an hour drive to visit with relatives or an extended road trip across the country. They are, however, costly investments, especially for those who don’t travel often. Thankfully, there are a number of companies who rent motor homes to those who want to enjoy the comfort, but aren’t ready to buy. Motor home rentals are also a great way to try out various models and sizes before making a purchasing decision.
If you are considering renting a motor home for your next vacation, there are a few things you should know before making your RV rental reservation. First, you should plan your destination. Decide where you would like to visit and for how long you plan to vacation. If you are planning a long vacation, you may want to split your stay between two locations. Consider the amount of time it will take to reach your destination as well and plan for any overnight stops if necessary.
The next thing to consider is where you will pick up your motor home rental. Most companies serve a specific selection of cities. Check to see if there is a motorhome rental location near your home, and also look for pick up cities near your destination. You may need to drive a distance first, and then pick up your motor home, or you may want to start your trip with the rental.
Once you have chosen a vacation destination and given some thought to where you will pick up the motorhome, you will need to decide what type of motor home best meets your travel needs. There are different types of motorhomes like truck camper motorhomes, Class A, B, and C. Most of the motor homes available for rent are Class C. This type features a bed, either full or queen, above the cab. Class C motor home rentals usually include a bathroom and small, fully functional kitchen area. Most models have a small living area with either a chair or a sleeper sofa, and a folding dinette that sleeps one. Some models also feature a separate bedroom in the rear. If you are interested in renting a Class C motor home, the average base rate, including 100 miles per night, is $450 for a 4 night standard motor home rental.
Class B motorhomes are often referred to as camper vans. They usually look like standard vans, but the interior is converted to include sleeping and eating areas. Modern Class B motor homes available for rent typically include a bathroom as well. While this motorhome style is easy to drive and quite roomy for such a compact design, they typically only sleep 2 to 4 people. A camper van rental is usually about the same price as a Class C, around $100 per night.
Class A motorhomes are generally the largest type of motor home. They usually look similar to a large charter bus and are often preferred by frequent travelers because Class A motor homes have enough space to feel more like home. Most of these models have a spacious bedroom with storage space in the rear and a large living area behind the cockpit with convertible furniture for sleeping. Motorhomes with televisions and DVD players are available for rent, featuring a number of other amenities for comfort as well, like awnings and shades, air conditioning, and cruise control. Class A motor homes have fully functional bathrooms and modern kitchens with lots of storage space. These motorhome rentals are typically about $250 per night. Finally, make sure to completely read the motor home rental agreement before signing it and pay close attention to the dealer’s demonstration so you understand how everything works before leaving the lot.

In the hours and days immediately following the tragic attacks on America of 9/11, there was much speculation about the effects on the general aviation industry. While the events of September11, 2001 have had a significant impact on the economy as a whole sales of personal aircraft in Michigan have experienced a surprising boost. Certainly, the onvenience of personal transportation has played a major role in this increase as airport lines and security have become more time consuming. The reduction of flights resulting from the airline cost-cutting have limited flexibility for the business person and affected the productivity of companies relying on commercial transportation. These factors alone can’t explain surge of people joining the flying community for more than just pleasure. Rebates, low and 0% interest rates, training allowances, and yes, even the IRS played a role in creating an environment that has introduced more people to the benefits of aircraft ownership and had an effect similar to that seen after the passage of the General Aviation Revitalization Act of 1995.
A new tax law passed earlier this year represents a renewed attempt by our nation’s leaders to jumpstart the economic covery. The bill applies to new airplanes acquired after September 10, 2001, and before September 11, 2004, and provides tax savings from economic stimulus provisions included in the Internal Revenue Code designed to encourage investment in capital assets. The new tax law, Congress recognized that capital investment is an important part of our economy, and therefore allowed a five year depreciation of these assets. To further encourage investments, they do not require the depreciation to be spread evenly over the five years, but through a concept know as “double declining balance,” greatly accelerate depreciation during the first two years of ownership. Now with the additional incentives of 30% bonus depreciation on new airplanes, tax deferral opportunities are greatly expanded.
So how might a business person benefit from these new changes? First of all, the impact of these depreciation changes greatly reduce net cash investment for the purchase of a new airplane. Specifically, an operator in the 40% tax bracket who can successfully write off his aircraft ownership expense may have no cash investment in the airplane during the first four years.Additionally, when properly structured, many taxpayers have an opportunity to convert personal use into business use. The Internal revenue code provides an optional method of taxing an individual for personal use of an aircraft which many times amounts to less than 10% of the actual deductions flowing from the investment. Consult your tax professional prior to purchasing your new airplane or ask your Aircraft Dealer for the name of an Aviation Tax Specialist to set up your purchasing entity.
Local aircraft dealers likeSuburban Aviation, Inc. in Lambertville, Michigan will actually teach you to fly your new airplane and even reimburse your expenses when you purchase a new Cessna airplane from them. Most of today’s pilots learned to fly in a Cessna airplane and the majority of these pilots continue to experience the freedom and flexibility that flight offers in one of Cessna’s many single engine models.

There are three fundamental categories of Custom Built motorcycles: full dress or touring bikes, cruisers and sport bikes. Though some bike designs lead to bridge the gaps among these categories, most Custom built motorcycles fall simply into one of the three groups.
Full dress motorcycles are so-named as they appear with additional equipment to make long rides or may be for touring more conveniently. They have hard-shell trunks on both side of the back fender, full fairings, windshields and a dashboard. They in addition characteristically come with in-dash audio tools, often comprising GPS. The traveler seat on a touring this chopper bike has a high circular back with armrests. These profound bikes have superior suspension and rubber motor mounts, which smooth out the road and make long pull a pleasure. The Road King by Harley Davidson and Honda’s Gold Wing are two best examples of full dress motorcycles.
Though on tour bikes are good-looking, the motorcycles most intimately linked with the legendary biker image are cruisers that also comprise customized choppers. A chopper has a “chopped” frame with the face fork widen and raked ahead of the standard stock cruiser. Ridden into notoriety by Dennis Hopper and Peter Fonda in 1969’s Easy Rider, chopper bike or motorcycles are intended primarily for self-indulgent enjoyment rather than far-away traveling. The position assumed on these motorcycles, with their laid back seats and onward foot controls, provides itself to booting back and taking your time, with abundance of attitude riding out ahead. Choppers bike are hot once again, even when taking pleasure in the success of a television show, Orange Country Choppers, characteristic fresh custom built motorcycles built every week from the frame up.
Cruisers and choppers are identical with cool and almost all Japanese manufacturers have invested in the legend got in to view by Harley Davidson with cruisers of their own. Honda’s Shadow Aero, Kawasaki’s Vulcan and Suzuki’s Volusia are just few of the examples. Off road motorcycles comprise dirt bikes intended with tall frames and high tailpipes, which won’t base out. These motorcycles have knotted tires and lack street gear or license plates. Instead they are distributed yearly green stickers by the Department of Motor Vehicles, permitting owners to ride in off-road parks. In the U.S. there is an obligatory helmet rule for riding custom built motorcycles in most states. In some of the states, law is age or insurance-dependent. Check local laws before traveling to be safe.

” Fivers”, “Fifth Wheels” and “Fifth Wheel Trailers” are all phrases that refer to a single style of recreational vehicle. The stems from the design and way of hitching the trailer to the truck.
The hitch is placed in a tow vehicle bed almost directly over the tow vehicle’s rear axle. This adds a great deal of stability and towability to the trailer. Since the hitch is mounted over the rear axle of the tow vehicle, a pickup truck or medium duty truck is used to do the towing.
Fifth wheel rvs usually range in length from about 20 feet to over 40 feet long with the bigger models becoming a real dwelling when they are fully set up for camping.
These rvs are almost always constructed with a cut out section in front to allow the hitch pin to extend over the tow vehicle bed to reach the hitch. This extended area used for the main bedroom although a few have located a living room area in this spot.
The full profile fifth wheel rv comes with everything you would need in adwelling. Fullsize recliners andloveseat along with a bigscreen tv and entertainment center are part of the lounge area optons. Larger designs include a computer desk and sometimes a fire place.
The “galley” will have a refrigerator-freezer combo, a range with oven and a microwave stove to handle the meal preparation. Upscale rvs feature solid surface counter tops and other luxury touches to rival the finest kitchen found in any dwelling.
Bathrooms also range from the simple to the sumptous. Glass walled walk in showers are not unusual in the larger units.
The upstairs bedroom may feature a queen or king size bedplaced in a slide-out with storage under the bed. Larger trailers a dresser and larger closet across the very front of the trailer.
Heating is done with a gas forced air heater ducted throughout the living area. A roof mounted air conditioner keeps the inside cool during the hotter days.
One common feature of this style of rv is the ample storage both within and underneath the living area. Most recent include a ample “basement” storage area in the forward area of the rv. This allows for inclusion of all the things that make a fifth wheel home while away from home base.
Today’s fifth wheel trailers offer the ultimate in travel trailer living. They have maximum living space, easy towing, and reasonable prices for the full time rv’er.

Soaring gas prices have turned the steady migration by Americans to smaller cars into a stampede.
The switch to smaller, more fuel-efficient vehicles has been building in recent years, but has accelerated recently with the advent of $3.50-a-gallon gas. At the same time, sales of pickup trucks and large used SUV have dropped sharply.
The trend toward smaller and lighter vehicles with better mileage is a blow to Detroit automakers, which offer fewer such models than Asian carmakers like Toyota and Honda. Moreover, the decline of S.U.V.’s and pickups has curtailed the biggest source of profits for General Motors, Ford and Chrysler.
Sales of Toyota Car (Yaris) increased 46 percent, and Honda’s tiny Fit had a record month. Ford’s compact Focus model jumped 32 percent in April from a year earlier. All those models are rated at more than 30 miles per gallon for highway driving.
Previous spikes in sales of smaller cars were often a result of consumers trading down during tough economic conditions or gas-price increases. When the economy improved or fuel prices dropped again — as they did after the oil-price shocks in the 1970s eased — buyers invariably went back to bigger vehicles.
But with oil prices expected to remain high for years, auto industry executives are seeing a turning point.

A semi-trailer truck, also known as tractor-trailer or articulated lorry, is an articulated truck or lorry consisting of a towing engine and a semi-trailer (plus possible additional trailers) that carries the freight.
Colloquial terms for semi-trailer truck include truck and trailer, transfer truck, 18-wheeler, semi, Diesel, Mack truck (named for a prominent brand), big rig (US), transport (Canada), artic (UK and Ireland), and juggernaut (UK).
In North America, semi tractors usually have 3 axles, the front, or “steer”, axle having two wheels, and each of the two rear, “drive”, axles having a pair of “dualies” (double) wheels on each side. Thus, the most common configuration of tractor has 10 wheels, however in some cases dual wheels are replaced by tires known as “super singles” to reduce the weight of the tractor. In this case the tractor will only have six wheels. “Super singles” are substantially wider than normal tires. A smaller tractor having a single drive axle (six wheeler) is often used to pull shorter trailers in tight urban environments, such as downtown areas where a 60-foot rig would be too difficult to maneuver.
