Overturned Tanker Truck closes Miss. 19 in Lauderdale County
State Route 19 is closed one mile north of Collinsville because of an overturned Tanker Truck carrying acetone, which is a highly flammable liquid.
Currently at the scene are personnel from MDOT, MEMA, MDEQ and MHP as well as the Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Office. Because of a slow leak of contents, officials have decided to close this section of highway until the tanker is unloaded and moved back to its upright position.
The projected reopening time should be around 10 p.m.
